The book is a collection of 1-page teacher notes on each root word. The root word and it’s translation is highlighted at the top of the page. Students are expected to make their own flashcards for each of the root words. Each page also includes a list of 5-10 common (and not-so-common) words and their definitions. The definitions include translations of additional root words. The key to this book’s method lies in the Teaching Notes that follow. Each listed word comes with a bit of history and/or a suggestion for how you can explore the word’s full meaning. Some root words lend themselves to intuitive vocabulary building with young children.
